Tullett Prebon enters China

The joint venture with the subsidiary of Shanghai International Group (SIG) has been dubbed Tullett Prebon SITICO (China) and is expected to begin operations by year end. Currently, the firms are in the process of attaining a licence from the local central bank, the People's Bank of China. It is believed that the licence will allow for the broking of all currencies, except renminbi, to foreign currencies.
