CST to complete takeover talks

On August 12 this year, the group announced that it had received a number of bids for its business, sending its share price up by 23.8%. Speculation over potential buyers has included US private equity investors Thomas H Lee Partners, Hellman & Friedman, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts and Blackstone Group.
CST chairman Keith Hamilton said due diligence needed to be carried out, and that the company would be liaising with the regulatory authorities before discussions were completed.
