Italy most likely to pull out of euro

Italy's GDP growth this year is expected to be close to zero. And, last week, members of Italy's Northern League, who have been demanding a return of the lira since the beginning of the month, met to strategise over its campaign to reintroduce its currency. It claims the single European currency is hurting consumers and small Italian businesses. Some 35% of the 171 respondents to the survey said Italy would be most likely to pull out of the single currency, although 28% of respondents do not
