SE-Banken Posts 11% Rise In FX, Commission Income

Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken reported an 11 per cent rise in commissions, fees and foreign exchange earnings from SKr6.166 billion in 1992 to SKr6.816 billion last year. The bank does not separately break out foreign exchange income.

Overall, the bank reported a dramatic improvement in operating profits, to SKr357 million, up from its SKr5.37 billion loss in 1992. The turnaround should boost its credit standing, say observers.
