Commerzbank Reports DM89 Million In H1 Own-Account FX Trading Gains

Commerzbank separately reported own-account gains from foreign exchange for the first time in its interim statement, posting income of DM89 million for the first half of 1995. The bank did not offer a separate comparative figure for past half-years in FX.

Overall, own-account trading rose to DM247 million from DM87 million for the first half of 1994, comprising FX, DM95 million for securities trading and DM63 million for interest-rate futures trading [swaps], says e report. Own-account earnings
