ACI Old-Timer Gerry Gohler Retires From Forex Market

SAN FRANCISCO--Officials at ACI: the Financial Markets Association, have announced that Gerry Gohler will be standing down as regional executive for the Americas at the end of this year.

His decision to retire marks the end of an era. Gohler, who is 73, is a true veteran of the FX market. He began his banking career back in 1943 at the Bank of Saxony in East Germany. After a stint as a British military translator in the late 1940s, he moved to Deutsche Bank in 1949, where he first became involved
