CME to enhance electronic options trading

The CME paid an undisclosed sum for Liquidity Direct Technology, which has developed a patent-pending options trading system that provides for the complex structures and spreads involved in trading options. The system is already in use at the Chicago Board of Trade, which implemented the software for the launch of options on CBOT swap futures in March last year.
