Mifid – a commercial opportunity

One aspect of Mifid that has led to confusion in the market has been the lack of communication between compliance departments and the business, and IT departments within financial institutions. Another aspect of confusion has been caused by a market perception that Mifid does not affect the foreign exchange activities of investment firms. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Mifid lists all the asset classes it affects, and on initial reading it looks as though forex might not be affected
