A quick fix for Mifid

Major investment banks are predicting that the European market will see a dramatic increase in the adoption of electronic trading as a result of the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (Mifid). Whether firms make 'best execution' more complex or not is debatable. If an investment firm feels it is already providing its clients with best execution, it is probably already applying – in principle – all of the process steps that Mifid defines as necessary.
