Reuters Hit by FX Downturn

Investors dove for cover last week, after analysts downgraded their earnings estimates for UK news and market data giant Reuters. The downgrade came as news emerged at an analyst's meeting in New York that the group has been hit by a downturn in earnings from its transaction products division, which includes FX trading systems such as Dealing 2000-2 and Dealing 3000, and its Instinet electronic broking unit.
