Citi Tokyo Picks Teknekron For New 100-Position Room

Citibank will build its new 100-position trading room in Tokyo using Teknekron Software Systems Inc.'s Teknekron Information Bus (TIB) feed-handling and workstation software. The bank has decided to run the system on DEC hardware and Ultrix, DEC's version of UNIX, in keeping with Citi's global strategy to build its trading-support systems on that platform.

The new room will house Citibank Tokyo's foreign exchange, fixed-income and derivatives traders. Among the instruments they will trade are
