Barclays to add algo tools to Gator aggregator

Barclays is preparing to add a series of algorithms to Gator, its in-house foreign exchange spot aggregator that was rolled out to clients in February this year. The new algos, which will launch in the fourth quarter, will allow clients to place orders over a longer period of time and with less market impact.

While Barclays already has more aggressive algos available to Gator users, the new tools are targeted predominantly at real-money clients, corporates and macro hedge funds that generally
