Heavy technology development costs for new entrants in the retail foreign exchange market could be avoided through the use of white-label services, according to research published by Boston-based research and advisory firm Aite Group on June 28.

In the 78-page report, FX brokerage: the dawn of institutionalisation, senior analyst Javier Paz said banks are beginning to understand that retail foreign exchange thrives on the volatility created by economic uncertainty and can prove a revenue hedge
