More volatility for Slovakian unit

Interest in the currency has been stoked by a statement from minister of finance Ivan Miklos earlier this month that the country wants to join ERM II by June next year. The unit does look set to be the next to join the single currency, with the Slovakian government slating full membership for January 2009.
