Barclays combines forex and MM trading systems

LONDON -- Barclays Capital is consolidating its FX and money markets trading systems in six centres globally, head of e-commerce Justin Bull told FX Week.

The project, which was started in 1997, will enable the bank to save costs, and "harness" market and credit risk management with pricing activity, said Bull.

Integration of trading systems at Barclays Capital centres in London, New York, Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Sydney will be completed by the end of May 2001. The bank will then focus on
