Barclays Automates Currenex Price Feeds

TECHNOLOGY NEWS

LONDON--Barclays Capital is developing an application program interface (API) to automate the process of quoting FX prices on online multi-bank trading site Currenex, says Justin Bull, head of e-commerce at the bank in London.

The interface, which will link Currenex and Barclays’ own currency trading system, Barcap Trader, will enable Barclays Capital to provide live prices automatically as they are requested from Currenex users.

At the moment, brokers at Barclays Capital enter the bank’s prices
