S&P sells MMS International

LONDON -- Standard & Poor’s last week announced it is selling MMS International, its FX and fixed-income commentary service to a new company led by Mike Arora, a former Dow Jones Newswire executive -- as predicted in FX Week (FX Week, September 2).

The new firm, MMS Group, was formed by combining institutional funds advised by Alchemy Partners, the Halifax Bank of Scotland and senior MMS managers. Arora becomes president and chief executive.
