SG launches online margin FX trading in Asia

HONG KONG -- SG, the investment-banking arm of Société Générale will start online margin FX trading for users in Taiwan and Japan this quarter. The service, called eFXtrade, was launched in Hong Kong in May 2000, and is the latest FX product targeting the growing retail market, which is "relatively untapped", according to eFXtrade general manager Nelson Wong in Hong Kong.

SG believes the Asian markets hold the "biggest potential" for eFXtrade, and the bank will focus on Asia before tackling
