EBS reports per-minute record post jobs data
Spot broker EBS reported its highest ever per-minute record during the frenzied trading, recording 1,088 done deals between 12.30 and 12.31 London time. That represents nearly $4 billion in value, from more than 250 counterparties, the firm said.
After the initial burst of activity died down, volumes remained high for the remainder of the day, said Bill Moran, chief operating officer at the broker in London, and well above the firm's average daily turnover of $100 billion.
