ACI urges forex dealers to minimise trading

PARIS – Forex market body ACI-The Financial Markets Association urged dealers to minimise trading activity in the wake of the World Trade Center (WTC) tragedy last week.

Herring Ligthart, president of the Paris-based organisation, said in a statement released last Thursday: “ACI hopes that the financial markets will try and cope with this terrible disaster in as calm and sensible manner as is possible, limiting transactions to only those that are considered necessary.”
