REGULATORS

TORONTO--The Canadian Foreign Exchange Committee (CFEC) is pushing ahead with a wide-ranging review of market practices as part of its mandate to provide a forum for discussion of issues relating to the industry.

The measures are aimed at improving transparency and consistency among financial institutions.

According to the annual report of the CFEC, one major initiative this year will be to set up a market practices sub-committee of the Canadian Committee for Professionalism (CCFP).
