FXC issues guidance paper on autodealing

The paper addresses how to ensure adequate risk management and technology when operating in the autodealing space, and includes guidance to new market entrants on professional practices and standards of behaviour. It also covers monitoring reputational risks and confidentiality issues.

The paper refers to the effect of high-frequency automated trading on FX. It says that although it has had a positive impact, it has increased pressure on dealers to ensure their risk management practices evolve
