Chase Sets Up CTA Subsidiary To Trade Currencies And Metal

Chase Manhattan Bank set up a commodity trading advisor (CTA) subsidiary last month and is now in the process of building a track record before aggressively soliciting funds. In the meantime, the subsidiary, Chase Manhattan Capital Finance Corporation (CMCFC), is using its technical model to trade currencies for its own account and those of several clients, officials there confirm.

The Chase subsidiary was formed over three years ago, but has only been operating as a CTA for about two months
