Credit Suisse adds Tretola and Osterman to FX team

Bank says recent hires signal ongoing investment in FX platform and strategic importance of markets franchise

Team building: Credit Suisse moves to strengthen FX force

Phil Tretola and Sam Osterman have joined Credit Suisse as directors in its foreign exchange team, FX Week has learned.

Tretola was previously at Nomura, which reduced the headcount of its FX sales and trading teams in April, as part of a $1 billion cost-cutting measure.

Meanwhile, Osterman was global head of FX options at BNY Mellon.

Tretola now reports to managing director Timothy Chapin, who oversees the FX sales team in New York.

Osterman reports to Matthew Mitchell, global head of FX
