Jury finds Mark Johnson guilty of conspiracy and eight counts of wire fraud

Mark Johnson, former global head of foreign exchange cash trading at HSBC, was found guilty of conspiracy and eight counts of wire fraud on October 23, ending a front-running case that has gripped the attention of currency market participants for weeks.

Jurors in the Eastern District Court of New York reached a verdict shortly after 12:05pm. They found him not guilty on count three of the indictment, regarding a 2:27pm call on December 7, 2011, where co-defendant Stuart Scott informed Johnson
