Barclays creates macro products business

FX moved with other asset classes under new group at bank

Barclays has moved its fixed income, currencies and commodities (Ficc) business into a new ‘macro products' unit at the investment bank, which now also includes local markets offerings.

London-based Mike Bagguley has been promoted to head of macro products, moving from his previous role as global head of foreign exchange and commodities.

Adrian McGowan, global head of FX trading, continues in his role and adds precious metals trading to his responsibilities, which has been integrated into the FX
