Mako FX hires Simon Jones to drive platform growth

Simon Jones, formerly global head of foreign exchange electronic trading at Citi, has joined start-up spot trading platform Mako FX as managing partner.

Based in London, Jones started at Mako FX on Monday and is to take a lead role in product innovation and volume growth, working closely with Adrian Patten, who founded the platform in 2011, and New York-based Brian Andreyko, who joined last year and was previously head of FX product and development at EBS.

Jones was at Citi for nearly 16 years
