BNP and Deutsche give homes to Lehman staff

Spot trader Charlie Cass has joined French bank BNP, while Ed Popham-Holloway has joined Deutsche's hedge fund sales team.

Cass had been at the now-defunct US investment bank since October 2006, where he specialised in G-10 spot trading. He reported to global head of G-10 spot trading James Pearson, who is one of the 150 ex-Lehman staff thought to have secured a move to Nomura (see page 3).

Cass will join the French bank's FX spot-trading desk in London and is expected to take up his new post
