Citigroup raids Merrill Lynch

In London, Citi is understood to have hired Merrill's head of EMEA structuring, Sandra Brown. Although the Merrill desk confirmed her departure, Citi declined to confirm her hire.

Joining the bank's New York office from Merrill is Ian Edwards, a senior FX options trader in New York. Edwards and Brown follow both Marcus Browning, global head of FX trading, and Nigel Khakoo, head of FX structured products trading , who also defected to Citi in February and March, respectively.
