Société Générale merges long and short swaps teams

In a statement released last Tuesday (July 24), the bank said the new group offers market-making and price distribution in FX and interest rate swaps in all currencies, as well as FX spot and money-market trading for emerging currencies.

Co-heading the new swaps group is Christophe Coutte, previously head of long-term swaps trading at Société Générale in London.

Coutte joined Société Générale in August 2005 with responsibility for euro and US dollar long-term swaps. Before joining the French bank
