Perez-Yarza emerges at JP Morgan

Cebrian Perez-Yarza joined the US bank's London office as head of Iberian FX sales for financials and corporates last Monday (July 21). He reports to Ignacio Alvarez-Cedron and Miguel Anacoreta, managing directors in London.

Cebrian Perez-Yarza previously worked as an FX salesperson to southern Europe at Credit Suisse in London before leaving the bank on June 21. He joined the Swiss dealer in May last year and was kept on in FX sales to Europe when Credit Suisse shut down the team earlier this year (FX Week, February 4).

After the reshuffle, Perez-Yarza was tasked with focusing on Credit Suisse's FX sales to Spain and Portugal. Responsibility for Italian accounts was understood to be shared between members of the FX sales team (FX Week, February 4).

Meanwhile, Credit Suisse is believed to have reorganised its senior sales team in London after UK FX sales head Toby Cole left earlier this month (FX Week, July 21).

Jonathan Hughes, a director in FX sales, is reputed to be taking over Toby Cole's responsibilities as head of banks sales, based in London.

Hughes joined Credit Suisse in London early last year from Barclays Capital in London, where he had worked since April 2003 (FX Week, March 5, 2007). Before joining BarCap, Hughes was head of institutional sales at Commerzbank in the same city (FX Week, March 31, 2003).

Credit Suisse did not confirm Hughes's role by press time.
