Salaries In UK Continue To Climb But Bonuses Remain On Hold

LONDON--Pay levels in the City continue to climb -- despite the retrenchment at most levels of the FX market -- but the outlook for bonuses looks bleak next year.

A recent survey from Monks Partnership, an independent advisory firm on salaries, shows that pay levels for most FX traders in medium-sized banks has climbed yet again. In the 12 months to date, the average salary has risen by 5.7 per cent, slightly under last year's figure of 7 per cent.
