Deutsche Hires Merrill's Mitchell To Head Global Markets In U.K.

Deutsche Bank has recruited Merrill Lynch's fixed- income chief, Edson Mitchell, as its new London-based head of global markets in a move that furthers its efforts to combine all trading business under its new joint investment banking division with subsidiary Morgan Grenfell.

Morgan Grenfell chief executive Michael Dobson, who heads the combined investment bank, calls the move "another important step in the development of our investment banking business." He confirms that the global markets group
