Lehman Hires Emerging Markets Head In London To Expand Reach

With a specific objective to strengthen its market presence in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, Lehman Brothers has appointed Kerim Derhalli as executive director and head of emerging markets trading, officials say.

Derhalli was previously with Merrill Lynch, where he was responsible for local currency trading in the specified regions. His new post, which he took up on September 1, is based in London, where he intends to build up the emerging markets team.
