Dotcom exodus for forex staff

NEW YORK -- E-commerce FX firms are seeing an exodus of staff this year, as many financial professionals leave the dotcom sector to rejoin the banking industry.

"Job opportunities that looked fantastic three years ago no longer look so promising," said Peter Harwood, recruitment consultant at Kinsey Craig in London. "Support for the new economy has weakened because it’s taking longer to attract customers than expected -- and it’s difficult to get people to pay for Web services," he told FX Week.
