

Market braces itself for EBS’s great migration
FX industry prepares for tectonic shift as venue moves to CME Globex
On May 16, one of the largest technology projects for the foreign exchange industry is set to be complete when EBS Market – one of the two primary interbank spot FX venues – begins operating on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange’s Globex infrastructure.
EBS’s over-the-counter currency products will operate on the same technology as CME’s listed and futures business, which CME claims will give liquidity providers better opportunities for price discovery across products and reduce latency.
