A former HSBC colleague of Mark Johnson, who was allegedly part of a scheme to defraud Cairn Energy on a $3.5 billion foreign exchange order, testified for the prosecution to say he personally believed the defendants started trading a lot earlier than the fixing time when Cairn’s order was due to be executed.

The claims were made on the second day of the trial against Johnson.
