Patten and Jones cash in on Liquidity Pool sale to Xenfin

Disclosed relationship platform goes to new owners

Xenfin Capital, a technology and asset management company, has acquired foreign exchange trading platform Liquidity Pool, after founder Adrian Patten and managing partner Simon Jones sold the business following a management buyout.

Liquidity Pool used to be part of Mako FX, an anonymous trading venue founded by Patten in April 2011. It launched in late 2013 to provide a disclosed, relationship-based offering to complement Mako's existing product.
