Industry requests clarity over extra reporting requirements

More clarity needed on collateral and valuation reporting

Industry participants have requested more information from the European Securities and Markets Authority (Esma) on the collateral and valuation-reporting requirements for derivatives trades, which will be implemented as part of the European Markets Infrastructure Regulation (Emir) in a few months' time.

Building on the trade-reporting requirements introduced in February, all buy-side and sell-side firms in the European Union will have to report any changes in trade valuations and collateral
