RBS internalisation levels hit 90% in EUR/USD

Bank also manages 70-80% of cable risk internally

The amount of foreign exchange risk managed inside the Royal Bank of Scotland's internal liquidity pool is up to 90% in EUR/USD and 70–80% in GBP/USD, according to the bank's global head of electronic distribution.

London-based head Jeremy Smart also says it is likely that, since early last year, the volume going through the top 10 banks' internal flow is more than the core market venues, and that customers can benefit from increased internalised flows.
