Citi to donate a dollar per million of platform volume to charity

Citi's foreign exchange business has this week unveiled a major philanthropic initiative to donate a proportion of its institutional FX transaction volumes during the fourth quarter to six charities around the world that focus on education.

Dubbed ‘e for Education', the scheme will see $1 from every million dollars traded on the Velocity electronic trading platform donated to the charities in what the bank believes to be the first and largest effort to translate electronic FX trading activity
