Sharp drop in yen will destabalise markets, warn traders

Some foreign exchange market participants are concerned a rapid further weakening in the yen in the near term could destabilise the financial markets, and that the market has been too slow to price in this risk.

"One potential unintended consequence of USD/JPY depreciation is that, if the speed of yen depreciation is faster than expected, it could have destabilising effects on some financial markets. For example, it could push rates higher across core countries and have a negative spillover
