Hotspot falls under new oversight in Knight/Getco reshuffle

Knight Capital and Getco have unveiled the management team of the new public company that will result from the merger of the two firms, which is expected to complete in the second quarter.
Under the new management structure, led by Daniel Coleman as chief executive and Thomas Joyce as executive chairman, Albert Maasland will serve as head of global execution services and platforms. The management team of Knight's Hotspot FX electronic communication network – including business manager Bill Goodbody and head of sales John Miesner – will now report to Maasland and Joseph Mazzella, head of institutional equities.
Other members of the new management team include Steven Bisgay as chief financial officer, Jerry Dark as chief human resources officer, John DiBacco as global head of equities trading, Darren Mast as chief operating officer and interim head of fixed income, currencies and commodities, John McCarthy as general counsel, Farid Moslehi as head of Asia, Nick Ogurtsov as chief risk officer, Jon Ross as chief technology officer, Robert Smith as head of Europe and George Sohos as global head of client market-making.
"The senior management team possesses the expertise to successfully integrate our two organizations, develop new and innovative products and, most importantly, serve the needs of our clients across multiple asset classes and time zones. We are fortunate to have a strong team of senior managers at both Knight and Getco. We appreciate the significant leadership contributions from both organizations, and look forward to working with the new management team," said Coleman in a statement on February 20.
