Local currency trading head departs BAML

Bank of America's London headquarters

Alex Axentiev, head of central and eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (Ceemea) local currency trading at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML), has left the bank.

Axentiev was based in London and had been at BAML for almost 10 years, having originally joined Merrill Lynch as an exotics trader in 2002. His plans are not yet known.

His responsibilities have been assumed by Guillaume Huteau, managing director and head of foreign exchange options trading for Ceemea. Huteau joined BAML in
