BoE’s King says eurozone is ‘tearing itself apart’

Mervyn King, governor of the Bank of England, today said the eurozone was "tearing itself apart" with no "obvious solution" to the situation.

King was speaking in London at a press conference arranged to reveal the latest Inflation Report from the Bank. The report painted a gloomy picture of the economy, lowering the growth prediction for this year from 1.2% to 0.8%.
