Parker FX returns drop in July

Of the 71 managers that reported into the index, 39 were up while 29 reported negative results, with three reporting no change. On a risk-adjusted basis, the index fell by 0.09%. The median return for July was 0.16%, while returns ranged from 3.41% to a loss of 6.20%. On a year-to-date basis, the index is up 2.26%.

The Stamford-based index provider said that during July the dollar appreciated by 1.05% against a basket of G-6 currencies.

The US dollar benefited from the depreciating price of energy
