Eyles maintains his existing role as global head of the metals business and proprietary trading. But a replacement for him as head of the bank's Asian currency business has yet to be determined.
His transfer makes Eyles the most senior person in the currencies and commodities group at the bank in London. However, this does not change the reporting lines of existing FX staff in the city.
In Tokyo, the bank has replaced Junpei Yamamoto, formerly head of the global currency and commodity group
