Greenback 'to keep falling'

Speaking at the bank's annual London FX conference last Wednesday (February 8), O'Neill said the US dollar had benefited from rising short-term US interest rates relative to the euro and yen in 2005. However, it failed to hold its value against many commodity currencies and many units of 'new' economies, including those of the Bric (Brazil, Russia, India and China) countries and of so-called 'developing status'.
