Glitch halts CME trading

Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) saw a halt to its electronic forex futures trading on Friday due to a technical hitch that stopped users entering or cancelling orders in certain currency markets. CME Globex users trading six FX contracts, including Swiss Franc, sterling, Mexican peso, Canadian dollar and yen were unable to trade from 8.30–9.45am local time. The open outcry trading floor was not affected.
