Former FX salesperson sues BNP Paribas for discrimination

Tofeji, who worked for the French bank between October 2000 and June 2006, claims she was penalised after announcing her pregnancy to the bank in late 2004. She alleges that news of her pregnancy affected her targets, bonus and appraisal.

Tofeji also claims she faced discrimination, harassment and victimisation by senior staff and colleagues, when she returned after a 12-month maternity leave in May 2006. This included one incident when the bank allegedly refused her request to work a four-day
